Rolls-Royce Group PLC has been selected to provide engines for the first five spy planes being developed for the Army by a team led by Lockheed Martin Corp. The planes will be based on an Embraer ERJ 145. Fifty-seven aircraft will be built, with 38 going to the Army and 19 to the Navy. Delivery of the first Army aircraft will be in 2010 and the Navy version in 2012.
