– Honda is recalling 158,187 cars sold in Japan, the U.S. and 39 other countries to fix problems with the vehicles’ lights. The recall covers 40,060 Acura TSX sedans produced between June 2002 and June 2004 that were shipped to the U.S. Defective seals around the left headlights could allow water to seep in and keep the lights from turning on.

– Ford is recalling 40,031 2004 Ford Free-star and Mercury Monterey minivans because cracks could form in the hubs that connect the wheel to the axle. There have been no customer complaints or injuries due to that defect.

– Ford is recalling 1,700 2004 F-150 pickups because the fuel tank could leak if it gets too hot. There have been no customer complaints or injuries from the defect that was discovered in company testing.

– Target is recalling 58,950 electric scooters because faulty wiring and poor insulation can pose fire or shock hazards. The scooters, manufactured by Leoch E-Vehicle Co. of China, bear model number DK24350-3. They were sold in Target stores for about $200 from February 2003 through June 2004. Consumers are advised to stop using the scooters and return them to Target for a refund.
