DeVera G. Schaps, 83, of The Seasons at Glenview Place, passed away peacefully on September 10th, 2004 after a lengthy and courageous battle with emphysema. The daughter of the late Isadore and Frieda “Fanny” Grossman, she was born in Chicago, IL and lived her entire life in that area. She was the beloved wife of Saul J. Schaps, who predeceased her; the loving mother of Harvey and Alan; the sister of Mildred Pick and the late Albert Grossman; and the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. At DeVera’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Pl.
