Can we please drop the bickering about what John Kerry was decorated for in Vietnam and what George W. Bush failed to show up for in the Guard 30 years ago?

Let’s concentrate on the important issues of today, like the bungled invasion and occupation of Iraq. The Iraq war has distracted us from fighting the real terrorists, alienated us from our allies, created another unstable state like Afghanistan and cost the lives of more than 1,000 Americans. We should also talk about the record federal deficit, the ill-advised tax cut, our skyrocketing health-care costs and the jobs exported from our country. We need to focus on what we are going to do to address these problems after we get rid of the guys who got us into this mess, Bush and Dick Cheney.
