Edward Patrick Cusack, 89, of Coloma, MI, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 at Whitcomb Tower Retirement Residence in St. Joseph, MI. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Dey-Florin Chapel, Florin Funeral Service, St. Joseph, MI, with the Rev. Debra Basham officiating. A burial of ashes will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home of Stevensville, Alano House of Stevensville or North Berrien Senior Center. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.florin.net Edward was born on Dec. 12, 1914 in Chicago to Patrick and Pauline, nee Reddel, Cusack. He worked as a detective with the Chicago Police Department for 20 years. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Michigan and became a licensed private investigator working part time for more than 15 years. He was a member of the Lions Club. Survivors include a daughter, Pat Everett of Chicago; a granddaughter, Karen Everett of Chicago; a grandson, Matt (Melanie Gallo) Everett of Chicago; a great-granddaughter, Bella Marie; two nephews, Ed and Bill; and three nieces, Maureen, Margie and Sheila. Edlward was preceded in death by his wife, Lily, in 1996; son, John “Jack” Cusack, in 1959; bro- ther, William Cusack; and sister, Mayme Flynn.
