Dorothy S. Walker, nee Schmidt, age 86, of Park Ridge. Beloved wife of the late R. Bruce; loving aunt of Sue Elen (Al) Drum; dear great-aunt of Scott and Greg Drum. Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Oak Park High School, Northwestern University School of Music, and the University of Michigan School of Music Masters Program. She taught vocal and instrumental music in South Haven, MI for 14 years, and vocal music in District 64, Park Ridge and Niles for 18 years. She was the Director of Music in District 64 for eight years when she concluded her 32 year teaching career. She was an active member of her church and the Park Ridge Kiwanis Club. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Park Ridge, 418 W. Touhy, Park Ridge. Arrangements by Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 847-823-1171 .
