Sylvia J. Light, nee Rosenblum, born Sept. 12, 1916 in Chicago, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004. Married in 1935 to her beloved Theodore; loving mother of Jeffrey (Edith), Dr. Lee (Eugenia) and Bonnie Zivin (Sheldon); devoted grandmother of Jordan, Eric and Gabrielle Light, Rachel Tricker, Lorie and Scott Zivin. Her career as a dedicated teacher and educator began in Chicago and continued in Naples through her volunteer work, mentoring, her articles to various publications, and her well received book review sessions. She was an active member of Temple Shalom, Hadassah and the Council of Jewish Women. She will be missed by her family, her many friends, and all of those whose lives she touched. Funeral Services were held Sunday, Sept. 19 at Temple Shalom, Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Council of Jewish Women or to the American Red Cross to aid in hurricane relief.
