Shirley R. Kaskowitz, nee May, of Highland Park, formerly of DeKalb, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19 at the age of 74. She was born March 29, 1930 in Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest. She is survived by her sister Edna (the late Garland) and brother Edwin (Doris); devoted mother of Alyson (Jonathan) of Highland Park, IL, Michael (Sharon) of Fremont, CA and Gary (Elyse) of Allentown, PA; beloved grandmother of Jeremy, Amy, Cory, Jordan, Sara, Rebecca and Eric. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. at Congregation Solel, 1301 Clavey Rd., Highland Park. Graveside services will be held following at 2 p.m. in DeKalb at Fairview Park Cemetery, 1600 S. 1st St., DeKalb, IL. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to charity of your choice.
