We have all been told that President Bush’s tax cuts have gone to the richest among us, not to those who really need them. Well then I guess we are in the upper echelons of wage earners.

We took all our deductions and such, finishing with a taxable income of $20,000. Filing married, jointly, we owed $3,004 to Uncle Sam for taxable year 2001.

There was a reduction for year 2002 and for taxable year 2003 we owed $2,304.

Thus our taxes have been cut 23.3 percent and, as a bonus, we also were given a $600 check.

The Democrats tried their best to stop these uncalled for benefits to us high earners.
