Dr. Alla Schroeppel, age 88, died at Beverly Health Care Center in Madison. Alla Boschko, was born on November 15, 1915, in Kiev, Ukraine, U.S.S.R. She grew up and was educated in Kharkov, Ukraine. She received her medical training and Physician’s diploma from the First Medical Institute in Kharkov, in 1939. During the German occupation she was deported to Germany, and spent time in various camps until working as a Physician in Kreis Wesermuend, Germany, until 1945. She emigrated to the United States in 1947 where she practiced psychiatry in various hospitals in New York, and Illinois, last being employed at the Manteno State Hospital in Manteno, IL, from 1957 until 1978. After retirement, she lived in Illinois, until moving to be near her daughter in June of this year. She is survived by a daughter, Renata Schroeppel and husband, Michael McCurry of Colman, and a son, E. Rene Schroeppel of Chicago, IL; and one granddaughter, Samantha. No funeral or memorial is planned. Weiland Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
