John Zamorski, 78, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004, in his home. He was born July 6, 1926 in Chicago, and was the son of Stanley and Michelena Zamorski. He had been a resident of Elgin for the past 16 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army. Member ot St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Elgin. Surviving is his wife Wilma; four daughters Theresa (Steve) Bjerklie, Nancy (Noel Peaslee) Zamorski, Euphrasia (Eric) VanBezooijen and Diana (Theodore) Kloba; one granddaughter, Terri Peaslee; one sister Eleanore Jursich and one brother Chester Kollereb and preceded in death by one sister Dorothy Roman; preceded in death by parents. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, at 10 a.m., in St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Fr. Jeffrey Wirth officiating. Burial will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago. Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, on Thursday, from 5 to 9 p.m., and then at the church on Friday, from 9:30 a.m., until the time of the Mass.
