Like many others, I’m sickened by the CBS response. To say that this news network that prides itself on its investigative process cannot authenticate the same information that it so heartily endorsed as being from an unimpeachable source just days before raises even more serious questions as to the network’s lack of integrity and responsibility.
The network’s liberal spin has finally spun out of control. Its rush to once again defame President George W. Bush and supply needed support for John Kerry led to this latest media disaster.
This may be a lesson to the management of other news organizations.
You can’t fill all your top management and staff positions with 1960s liberals and not expect this kind of train wreck.
I hope for the sake of ethical standards in news coverage and information, other news organizations will take note of just where CBS went wrong.
