The Olsen twins have taken a break from hawking McDonald’s Happy Meals in France to take on a fight closer to home: getting rid of those “Save Mary-Kate” T-shirts.
Randy and Moss, the fashion company that created the controversial T-shirts, has stopped selling them after getting an e-mail from the twins’ lawyer threatening to sue for unauthorized use of the Mary-Kate and Ashley brand, E! Online reports. The shirts were created after Mary-Kate entered rehab for an eating disorder in June.
“We respect Dualstar [the Olsen’s empire]. They’re a huge company. We’re a small company, ” says Melissa Moss, one-half of the creative force behind the T-shirts, which had become cult faves.
Oh well, you can always dust off that “Save Winona” shirt.
