Drinking water on 13 percent of U.S. and foreign airlines’ planes has failed to meet Environmental Protection Agency standards in random tests. The EPA didn’t name the airlines involved, but of 158 planes tested, water on 20 fell short of the standards. No one was reported to have gotten sick from the water and the EPA is considering ways to ensure compliance.
