Mildred Dereng, age 92, of Menomonie, WI, formerly of Chicago, died in Menomonie on Sept. 24, 2004. She was born July 12, 1912 in Chicago to Leon and Antonina, nee Kuca, Wasilewski. Mildred is survived by her son, Don (DiAnn)) Dereng of Stewartville, MN; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Spooner of Attleboro, MA; two brothers, Leonard Wasilewski of Knox, IN and George Wasil of Geneva, IL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman, in 1993; parents and a sister. Funeral Services will be held Monday 10 a.m. Sept. 28, 2004 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Menomonie, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rhiel Funeral Home in Menomonie is handling the arrangements. 715-235-2181.
