James L. Freutel, 84, of Northbrook, formerly of Glenview and Chicago, Sept. 24, 2004. Born and reared in Chicago, he was City Champion in the high jump where he fenced and lettered in track and field. Mr. Freutel attended North Park College for two years and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Northwestern University. He then did graduate work in Sociology at Northwestern and the University of Chicago. He owned the James L. Freutel Insurance Agency in Glenview for 40 years. Beloved husband of 48 years to Doris; cherished father of Cynthia (David) Nadig and Irene (Tim) Sewell; dear grandfather of Heather Ann, Brandon James and Tyler David Nadig and Doris Virginia Sewell; son of the late Robert and Irene Freutel.
