As one who served in Vietnam as a Red Cross hospital worker in the early 1970s, I believe CBS’ story based on false memos about President Bush’s Vietnam-era service is a graphic illustration of how little has changed over the decades in reporting on the Vietnam War.
Then as now “experts” speak out about a war they did not serve in and a military they did not join.
