Glenn W. Dillon, 89, of Punta Gorda, FL. died Sept. 15, 2004. Mr. Dillon was born July 9, 1915 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late William and Ellen Pearson Dillon. He was the widower of Thelma M. Dillon who died Jan. 8, 1999. He was the owner of Fem Tool and Die Co. of Chicago for many years. Glenn was a member and past President of Lincolnshire Golf & Country Club in Crete, IL, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago District Golf Ass’n. A avid boater he was the Past Commodore of the Platinum Yacht Club of Punta Gorda. In 1933 Glenn was the Illinois State Gymnastics Champion. His hobby was wood carving. He was also preceded in death by a sister Marion Waldron; he is survived by his daughters, Donna (William) Bergeron of Lemont, IL, Carolyn (Fran) Meyers of Crete, IL, and Deborah (Kim) Martin of Ft. Myers, Fl,; grandfather of Elizabeth (Kevin) McCann, Suzanne Bergeron, Kelli Meyers, Kimberlee (Matt) Miller and Alissa Martin; great-grandfather of Robert Miller; brother of Donald and Roger Dillon, June Murray and Rita Swanson. Services and interment was held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, in Cape Coral, FL.
