Esther met the wrath of Egypt this week.

Pop queen Madonna, who was inspired by her Kabbalah studies to take the name of the biblical queen, may be banned from entering Egypt and denied a visa.

The Egyptian Parliament wants to prohibit the singer from performing or filming any of her music videos in the country. Government officials reportedly proposed the measure after learning of Madonna’s recent visit to Israel and her practice of Jewish mysticism.
