Bensenville police are investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old man who was wounded in the left shoulder while driving a car Monday night.
The Bensenville man was driving alone around 10:30 p.m., going east on Green Street near York Road, when a red Pontiac Grand Prix with four people inside pulled up alongside him. The man heard a gunshot and felt pain in his left shoulder, police said.
He drove home and called police. The man was then taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound and released.
Police have no motive for the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact police at 630-350-3455.
