John C. “Jack” Meade, age 71. Longtime West Pullman and Glenwood resident, recently of Chicago Heights, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28. Devoted husband for 46 years of Miriam, nee Rigoni; loving father of Shawn, Christopher, Cara (Daniel) Pastere, Adam and Matthew (Kristen) Meade; cherished grandfather of Ashley Meade, John Pastere and Nicholas Meade; beloved son of Edith, nee Ghiosso and the late Hillary Meade; brother of Kathleen (Gerald) Wilharber and the late Mary Ellen (Michael) Johnson; fond brother-in-law, uncle, friend, neighbor and colleague of many. Jack served Gateway House Foundation for 26 years in various administrative capacities until his retirement in 1996. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks.
