Village trustees are interested in hearing more about a proposal to build an indoor pool at Lake Park High School.

Mayor Gayle Smolinski said Monday that she had received a letter from Missouri-based Pivot Recreation Resources saying a consortium of four park districts–Bloomingdale, Medinah, Roselle and Itasca–had hired the firm to conduct a feasibility study

“My understanding is that the facility would be for recreational as well as for competitive use,” Smolinski said. “Depending on the plans, the Village of Roselle might incur some of the costs.”

Trustees advised Smolinski to meet with the firm this week and unanimously expressed interest in learning more about the possibility of financially supporting the project.
