Former New Jersey Nets star Jayson Williams may make a comeback, the New York Post reported Monday. Williams, who retired in 1999, was spotted playing basketball with Los Angeles Clippers forward Elton Brand and two other unnamed players at New York City’s “Basketball City.” Williams, 36, was an All-Star known for rebounding and tough defense before an ankle injury forced him into retirement. But he reportedly played hard and worked out vigorously, supposedly running wind sprints between scrimmages. This comes after Williams was found not guilty on charges of aggravated manslaughter in the shooting death of a limousine driver at his New Jersey mansion. Williams was convicted of several lesser charges.
