Herman “Roy” Rubenstein, age 86, suddenly on Sept. 28, 2004. Beloved husband of Lillian, nee Novodor; cherished father of Sharon “Shari” (Phillip) Fuhrer and Howard (William Briner) Rubenstein; treasured grandfather of Gayle (Courtney) and Julie; adored “papa” of Anthony Michael; fond brother of Mort (the late Margie), the late Seymour and “Uncle George”; also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Rubenstein was a proud Veteran serving his country in WWII, a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the VFW. Services Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, 1:30 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery (Carnation Section), 7800 W. Montrose, Chicago.
