John David Crabb Sr., age 78, of Park Forest, passed away on Oct. 1. John is survived by his beloved wife, LaVinia, nee Garland, Crabb; loving daughters, Rebecca (Larry) Brooks and Mary Elizabeth (Russell) Gordon; treasured son, John David Crabb Jr.; his brother, Joseph G. (Ethel) Crabb of Grantsburg, IL; his sister, Rosetta (Darrell) O’Dell of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Tracie Reisinger of Iowa, Scott (Jeneie) Culp, Terri (James) Cowart and Raymond Culp, all from Kentucky. He has left behind four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Dillon and Devon. His parents, Garvon and Elsie Crabb, and his sister, Mary Elizabeth Crabb, preceded John in death. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 3:30 to 9 p.m. at Hirsch West End Chapel, 1340 Otto Blvd. Chicago Heights. A time of remembrance and prayer will begin at 8 p.m. that evening, and will be led by Chaplain Ray Deabel. An additional visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. at the Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Nolan Smith officiating.
