Ed Snider knows only one benefit to the NHL lockout that forced his Philadelphia Flyers off the ice–more time and attention devoted to the NBA’s 76ers. Snider, the chairman for both teams, wished negotiations were taking place. “The players have drawn a line in the sand, they’ve said they’re not going to accept a salary cap and I don’t see how anything gets done when somebody says they’re not going to accept something before they negotiate,” Snider said.
