The village will be voting in the next few weeks on annexation and zoning of a planned-unit development for the northwest corner of Galena Boulevard and Dickson Road.
Balmorea of Montgomery will include 154 single-family homes, 99 villa-style homes and 56 town homes.
Planned-unit zoning allows a developer to meet density and land-use goals without being bound by requirements such as minimum lot standards.
The land will contain a 122-acre, mostly residential development to be built by Saratoga Homes.
Just over 5 acres is to be committed to commercial use. The subdivision will be the first in the village west of Dickson.
