The Yankee Air Museum’s hangar has burned down, but three planes displayed in that hangar have survived. A C-47 transport, B-25 bomber and B-17 bomber were saved. Museum President Jon Stevens says he plans to rebuild the museum and estimates the loss at up to $7 million. The museum has been raising funds to improve the hangar.
