Corporate leaders discuss ethics
Four corporate leaders will discuss “Leadership in Ethics in 21st Century Corporate America” from 9 a.m. to noon Friday. The session is part of the 11th annual International Conference Promoting Business Ethics taking place Thursday through Saturday in the Grand Ballroom of the Standard Club, 320 S. Plymouth Ct. The event is sponsored by DePaul University’s Institute for Business and Professional Ethics.
The session’s speakers are: Charles Brock, vice president, chief ethics and compliance officer, Abbott Laboratories; M. Martha Ries, vice president of ethics and business conduct at Boeing Co.; Raymond F. McCaskey, CEO of Health Care Service Corp., who oversees the Illinois, Texas and New Mexico Blue Cross Blue Shield plans; and Donni Case, president of the Financial Relations Board.
A luncheon panel discussion on the “Responsibilities of Accountants and Auditors” will be held from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. Other sessions of note cover the topics of entrepreneurial ethics, environmental challenges to business, and media ethics.
Registration fee for the Friday morning leadership session is $80, including breakfast. The fee for the entire conference is $250.
