Madonna and Missy Elliott looked tight in the Gap ad campaign, but apparently there really is a gap between the stars when it comes to religion.

Madonna tried to sell Missy on the virtues of Kabbalah and even offered the signature red-string bracelet, reports Web-zine Female First, but the Baptist-raised rapper declined. “I’m Christian, so I didn’t join–but we’re still close.”
