I can’t even begin to express my displeasure in your recommendation of George W. Bush for president. But I’ll just make one point: If our country elects Bush president for a second term, it will be a vindication of all his actions over the past four years. It will be nothing short of an approval for everything he–and his cabinet–has done. For that reason alone, Bush should not be elected.
The issue is not whether John Kerry will be a better president; he most certainly could not be any worse.
But we write history this election year: I refuse to absolve anything the Bush administration has done, and reward its members with another four years in office.
The choice is that simple.
