I for one support Kent Mercker, Moises Alou, Sammy Sosa and Dusty Baker. They have a right to whine just like any underpaid, put-upon employee of a large corporation. I saw this all the time where I worked: poor-performing people rightly pointing the finger at their critics, who were always getting in the way, not allowing the workers the right to screw up.
Dusty Baker, a champion ostrich, has a bunch of underpaid workers suffering ill-timed meltdowns because some guys in the booth are guilty of telling the truth. Shame on Steve Stone and Chip Caray.
Where were Steve Bartman, the goat, the black cat and the other annual excuses when we needed them?
