Thank goodness it’s over. Just a few personal thoughts for the next election: I am a thinking American. I can make up my own mind on the issues in an election. I do not need any foul-mouthed rock stars to tell me how to vote. I do not need any spoiled movie stars either.
Spare me the incessant e-mails; few were thoughtful and most were filled with misinformation.
I will not be swayed by the opinion of foreign governments that obviously have their own agendas.
The exit polls are outrageous and should be dropped.
And, last, I would appreciate unbiased reporting from our media if it is not too much to ask.
I will not miss the sniping, hateful meanness that this campaign brought forth. I am sick of it and look forward to a rebirth of civility and kindness.
We are all Americans and we still live in the greatest country in the world.
Let’s try to remember that.
