Storm midfielder Matthew Stewart’s two goals were not enough Saturday as the Storm squandered a 5-1 halftime lead en route to a 9-5 MISL loss to the Force in Cleveland.
“We let one get away,” coach Frank Klopas said. “We controlled the game for three quarters and Cleveland was able to capitalize on our mistakes.
“We need to do things better and we will continue to improve.”
The Storm (2-2) was held scoreless for the last 22 minutes 57 seconds. Cleveland’s John Ball blasted a free kick past a diving Danny Waltman to give the Force (1-2) a 6-5 lead at 4:47 of the fourth quarter.
