The aviation museum Air Zoo in Portage, Mich., plans to construct a building for artifacts from the Michigan Space and Science Center in Jackson, which closed last year. The center’s collection includes an 83-foot Mercury rocket, a piece of moon rock collected by Apollo 15 astronauts, space suits and other astronaut equipment, and replicas of space vehicles.
