Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Each year we say “Thanks” for so many things, but few of those things ever say, “You’re welcome.” And here now some picks. I’ve got plenty of leftovers, so please come back Friday for the rest of the weekend.

BEARS (4-6) at Dallas (3-7)

3:15 p.m., WFLD-Ch. 32

Things you should know: Dallas rookie QB Drew Henson will make his first NFL start. Finally, the Bears face a team with a worse record–and they’re still not favored. No respect, no respect at all. And that’s how it should be. Dallas has lost six of the last seven games, four of them by at least 20 points. I mean, come on.

The line: Cowboys by 3 1/2

Over/under: 36 1/2

Final shake: Bears. Final score: 9-3. So take the under.

Indianapolis (7-3) at Detroit (4-6)

11:30 a.m. WBBM-Ch. 2

Things you should know: Former Lions greats Barry Sanders, Billy Sims and Lem Barney will be honorary captains for this game, and maybe if the Lions ask nicely, each of them will play a few series. Colts QB/rocket launcher Peyton Manning plays a road game, but doesn’t Detroit always play this game tough? Yes, yes they do.

The line: Colts by 7 1/2

Over/under: 52 1/2

Final shake: Lions. Not to win, but to make it interesting.
