Cedrick Banks scored 24 points to lift Illinois-Chicago over North Carolina-Wilmington 76-67 on Sunday.

Jovan Stefanov had 16 points and Elliott Poole had 12 and 10 rebounds for the Flames (3-3), who made Jimmy Collins the winningest coach in UIC history with the victory.

Collins now has 134 career wins, one more than Bob Hallberg had in 1987-96.

Beckham Wyrick paced the Seahawks (4-2) with 14 points and 10 rebounds. John Goldsberry scored 11 of his 14 points in the first half.

N.C.-Wilmington built a 31-27 edge at halftime, but the Flames rebounded for a 40-36 lead early in the second half.

Illinois-Chicago led 62-58 with 2 minutes 41 seconds left when Marcetteaus McGee hit an off-balance bank shot to give the Flames breathing room.

The Flames won the battle of the boards 41-35 and outrebounded N.C.-Wilmington 22-14 in the second half.

Both teams struggled offensively in the first half as the Flames shot 37.9 percent and the Seahawks 35.3 percent.
