– The I-GO car-sharing program has expanded to Lincoln Park by making a car available on the 2400 block of North Lincoln Avenue. I-GO rents to its members in 30-minute increments for $6 an hour and 50 cents a mile. Insurance, gas and maintenance are included.

– Penn State research is appearing on some road signs, and the Federal Highway Administration has approved the interim use of a new typeface based on the university’s work. The typeface, called Clearview, is said to offer 20 percent better legibility and recognition with the same size sign. The letters are also designed to be easier to read when an automobile’s headlights hit them because there is more space in each letter. The signs are being used in Texas and Pennsylvania.
