It’s important to remind Reid Hanley that the victim in the Pierre Pierce case was a young woman, not Mr. Pierce (Tribune, Dec. 21). I don’t feel that a person who has pleaded guilty to a violent crime should be commended for not being a repeat offender.
Should we be proud of Pierre Pierce for putting his crime behind him? I can’t imagine that his victim has.
