Thank you to columnist Charles Krauthammer’s “Hands off Christmas, you Scrooges; Attempts to de-Christianize Christmas are ridiculous” (Commentary, Dec. 20). I was a student at Roosevelt High School in Albany Park during the middle 1940s. I belonged to the Symphonic Choir. We sang Christmas carols through the halls of the school every year during the Christmas holidays and Hanukkah. No one ever complained. Not one parent or student. (Seems amazing today.) Roosevelt had approximately 90 percent Jewish students.
