In response to Eric Zorn’s tsunami column, I don’t know why such terrible things happen, why people suffer and innocent children die. I can’t make any sense of it either. Those questions, however, do not change of what I am certain: God is good and he loves us very much.
Stories of the tsunami make me very sad. Hearing Zorn say that he doesn’t know if God exists breaks my heart.
