Charles “Chuck” Hall, 90, died Jan. 6, 2005, of complications following a fall, beloved husband for 64 years of Yolanda Hall, nee Farkas; loving father of Toni Henle, Nancy Hall Brooks, and Chas Hall; cherished grandfather of Liana Brooks-Rubin, Crystal Henle, Luke Brooks and Mark Henle; and great-grandfather of Eliav Brooks-Rubin. Hall was also the dear brother of the late Everard and is survived by fond sisters, Ruth Simonds and Dorothea Seedorf; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, which fought to preserve democratic Spain prior to World War II. Hall was a mechanical engineer until his retirement in the late 1980’s and a lifelong Chicago resident who was active in peace and civil rights causes. A Memorial Service is planned for Spring 2005.
