Fox announced it has changed cable’s Fox Sports Net’s “Best Damn Sports Show Period” to “Best Darn Super Bowl Road Show Period” leading into the Super Bowl.
A Fox spokesman said the change occurred “because what’s appropriate for cable television is not appropriate for broadcast television.” Fox Sports Net is a cable network while Fox is a broadcast network. Also, the Florida Times-Union reports the NFL has pulled Los Lonely Boys from the concert lineup leading up to the game after the band’s drummer was arrested this month for possession of marijuana.
