Phillip “Guapo” Lopez, Sr., 45, of Peoria, IL, and formerly of Chicago, Decatur, IL, and Hanover Park, IL, passed away at 1:55 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2005 in Spring Bay, IL. Guapo was born on September 17, 1959 in Chicago, son of Felipe and Delfina Lopez. He was a welder for Meta Tec in Varna, IL. He was formerly a maintenance machinist for Archer Daniels Midland in Peoria and Decatur. He was a ten year member of New Attitudes MC in Peoria and a member of Outlaws MC Peoria and Galesburg Chapters, since 2001. He was a volunteer for Crusaders for Kids in Peoria. Guapo is survived by his parents, Felipe and Delfina Lopez of Hanover Park, IL; son: Phillip “Little Phil” Lopez, II of Glen Ellyn, IL, daughter, Shannon Leonetti of Glen Ellyn; and sister, Kristine Eckberg of Hanover Park, IL. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Davison- Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to an Education Fund for Little Phil at Southside Bank in Peoria.
