The man who supplied Donald Trump and Melania Knauss with three chandeliers for their Mar-a-Lago ballroom is threatening to sue because he hasn’t been paid. Nicolas Jacobsen of Classic Chandeliers told the Palm Beach Post that The Donald didn’t even want to pay sales tax at first, but finally relented and had a courier bring over a check for $16,998 as a deposit.
Jacobsen said he gave Trump invoices for the other $17,000 but was brushed off.
The Donald told the Post: “This guy did a terrible, terrible job. He was late with the chandeliers. He didn’t have the proper equipment to install them. … I’m not going to pay him what I owe him. That’s it. I’m not paying.”
Said Jacobsen: “He is 58. When is he going to grow up? I will collect, one way or another.”
