President Bush’s scheme to spread democracy in the Middle East sounds noble and worthwhile. I wonder if his democracy includes racial and religious profiling, erosion of civil liberties, government by big business and special interests, disregard for the poor and needy, and so on.
Maybe we should clean up our own act before we so self-righteously try to impose what we are on others.
