Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Hats off to Ken Williams. Signing A.J. Pierzynski and Tadahito Iguchi really does give the White Sox big offensive upgrades at catcher and second base. Couple that with a starting pitching staff that really is five deep and additional arms that could start or go long relief and I am convinced the Sox have a club that can grind it out.

I have one nagging concern. Is Juan Uribe an everyday shortstop or is he best utilized as a guy who can do some DH-ing, and give Joe Crede, Iguchi and a shortstop a rest from time to time?

So my final thought on putting the finishing touch on is a one-year deal for Barry Larkin? He would have a shot at getting to the postseason, and the Sox would have some valuable insurance.
