No Oscars for Mel Gibson’s and Michael Moore’s films? Despite Ron Falzone’s claim that Hollywood showed a yellow streak in rejecting “The Passion of the Christ” and “Fahrenheit 9/11” (Commentary, Jan. 27), it is obvious that neither merited consideration. Both were reflections of perverse imagination and distorted vision. Neither was anchored in truth. Both were effective in producing intense emotion derived from easily tapped viewer religious and political prejudice.
