Lowell J. Hinz, born Feb. 8, 1948, in Chicago, IL, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005. Lowell was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home from the Army, he married his beloved wife, Jacqueline Hoeffken. He went on to become a member of the Tinley Park mounted police and later moved his family to Belleville in 1979. During their 35 years of marriage, they were blessed with four beautiful children, James, Jodi, Rebecca and Sarah, who gave them five wonderful grandchildren, Bailey, Austin, Emily, Oliver and Kaitlyn. Lowell was an avid Harley rider. He and his wife, Jacqueline, enjoyed many hours traveling over the U.S. on the back of his bike. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. Funeral: The family will be honoring Lowell’s wishes by not having a formal funeral. A celebration of Lowell’s life will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005. Please contact the family for details.
