Carl F. Pasquesi, 97, of Highwood died February 4, 2005. He is survived by his daughter Mary Theresa (Martin) Giarelli of Highwood, sons George and Carl of Highwood, L. Robert (Mary) of Lake Forest, Laurence (Maria) of Deerfield and J. Michael of Lake Bluff; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 greatgreat-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida (1949) and his wife Lydia (2000). He was born September 11, 1907 in Pievepelago, Italy. In 1947 he founded Pasquesi Electric Company, which specialized in residential work on the North Shore. The company is currently operated by two of his sons. He served three terms as Alderman for the city of Highwood. He also served as a member of the Highwood Library and Zoning Boards. In addition, Mr. Pasquesi served as the Chairman of the U.S. Bicentennial Committee for the City of Highwood. He was a member of the Lake Forest Knights of Columbus for almost 80 years, reaching the Fourth Degree. He was an active parishioner of St. James Church in Highwood for over 70 years and also a member of the Modenese Society in Highwood for 50 years. Mr. Pasquesi was an enthusiastic supporter in the fundraising efforts for the restoration of the Shrine of Monticello in Italy in 1949 and 1997. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2005 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at St. James Church, 134 North Ave., Highwood, IL 60040. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Highland Park.
